Charles Martin Raney

Charles M. Raney, age 86, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 11:55 P.M. on Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at Park View Nursing Center in Edgerton, Ohio, where he was a resident. Mr. Raney was a veteran serving with the United States Navy during the Korean War. He worked for the New York Central Railroad for many years until his retirement. He also enjoyed fishing and just driving around. Charles M. Raney was born on August 22, 1926, in Butler, Indiana, the son of Floyd and Addie (Bechtol) Raney. He married Vereda M. Rusk and she preceded him in death. Survivors include one brother, Allen Raney, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and numerous nieces and nephews. Also preceding him in death was a brother. Services for Charles M. Raney will be held on Sunday, July 3, 2011, at 3:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edon, Ohio, with Pastor David Rusk officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, beginning at 2:00 P.M. Interment will be in West Buffalo Cemetery, near Edgerton. Memorials are requested to a charity of the donor’s choice.
