Shirley C. Sisson

Shirley C. Sisson, age 77, of Montpelier, Ohio, and formerly of Edon, Ohio, and a longtime resident of, Coloma, Michigan, died at 4:10 A.M. on Sunday, January 7, 2015, in her home after an extended illness. Mrs. Sisson was a graduate of Oceola, Arkansas, High School and was a homemaker, who enjoyed taking care of people and listening to gospel music. Shirley C. Sisson was born on November 28, 1937, in Oceola, Arkansas, the daughter of Virgil George and Ola (Mason) Rainey. She married Ward Dewey Sisson on July 2, 1959, in South Haven, Michigan, and he preceded her in death on May 2, 2005. Survivors include her children, Ward (Cindy) Sisson, of Traverse City, Michigan, John Sisson, of Montpelier, Deborah Sisson, of Montpelier, and Monte (Linda) Sisson, of Coloma, Michigan; fourteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Barbara; in Oklahoma. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, James Rainey. Services and interment will be private.
