Barbara A. Jones

Barbara A. Jones, age 72, of Bryan, died at 3:50 P.M. on Thursday, May 21, 2015, in her home after an extended illness. Mrs. Jones was formerly employed by Bryan Hospital in the environmental services department. She enjoyed gardening while at home. Barbara A. Jones was born on August 24, 1942, in Miami, Florida, the daughter of Homer A. and Charlotte L. (Boden) Townsend. She married Roger P. Jones on November 8, 1974, in Miami and he preceded her in death on June 27, 2011. Survivors included two daughters, Cyndi (Tony) Riddle, of Bryan and Katherine Johns, of McClure, Ohio; one son, Robert Johns, of Licking, Missouri; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Sharon (John) Frazier, of Tallahassee, Florida.. She was also preceded in death by one son, James Johns, in 2008, and one grandson. Private grave side services and interment were held in Fountain Grove Cemetery, Bryan. Memorials are requested to Community Health Professionals Hospice or to the family to help with expenses.
