Donald P. Schlachter

Donald P. Schlachter, age 47, of Defiance and formerly of Edgerton, Ohio died unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 15, 2004 in his home. Mr. Schlachter was a graduate of Edgerton High School. Donald P. Schlachter was born May 22, 1957 in Hicksville, Ohio the son of John H. and Mary Ann (Taylor) Schlachter. Mr. Schlachter is survived by his mother, Mary Ann Schlachter, of Edgerton, Ohio, four sisters, Sue Hoffman, of Bryan, Ohio, Linda (Bub) McDonald, of Edgerton, Ohio, Kathy (Donald) Schlachter-Reitano, of North Andover, Massachusetts, Karen (Tim) Kramer, of Carlisle, Ohio and three brothers, Carl Schlachter, of Bryan, Ohio, Bob Schlachter, of West Unity, Ohio, and Tom (Kim) Schlachter, of Montpelier, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Jim Schlachter. Services for Donald P. Schlachter will be Saturday, December 18, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Edgerton, Ohio with Fr. Thomas Oedy officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Edgerton. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home in Edgerton from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, December 17. Memorials in the name of Donald P. Schlachter may be given to a charity of the donor's choice.
