Donald E. Miller, age 63, of Montpelier, Ohio, and a former lifelong resident of Defiance, Ohio, died on Monday, December 6, 2004, at Medical College of Ohio Hospital, Toledo, Ohio, after suffering a stroke on Thanksgiving Day. Mr. Miller was a laborer for Johns Manville in Defiance for forty-four years, retiring in January 2004. He was a member of the House of Prayer, Montpelier, Ohio, the Montpelier Moose Lodge #312 and the Montpelier Eagles Aerie #2246. Donald E. Miller was born on August 22, 1941, in Defiance, Ohio, the son of Donald O. ”Inky” and Glola (Andrist) Miller. He married G. Jeanne Vold on July 6, 1967, in Napoleon, Ohio, and she survives. In addition to his wife, Jeanne, Mr. Miller is survived by two daughters, Kim (Jack) Jackson of Ney, Ohio, and Kathy Ann(Chris) Bruns of Pioneer, Ohio; two sons, Randy Miller of Defiance, Ohio, and SSG Donald Ray (Justine) Miller, U.S. Army, of Montpelier, Ohio; thirteen grandchildren; and three brothers, Jerry (Cheryl) Miller of Defiance Ohio, Lynn (Cheryl) Miller of Florida and Bob “Milo” (Cheryl) Miller of Defiance, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services for Donald E. Miller will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2004, at 7:00 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio, with Pastor Don Harris officiating. Visitation for Mr. Miller will be held in the funeral home from 2 - 7 p.m. on Wednesday, December 8. Memorials in the name of Donald E. Miller may be given to the House of Prayer Building Fund.
