Mary E. Snyder, age 75, of rural Edon, Ohio and a former lifelong Bryan, Ohio resident, died at 1:15 a.m. Thursday, October 21, 2004 in the residence of her son, near Edon. Mrs. Snyder was a receiving clerk at the former Carroll-Ames Hardware Store for 23 years, retiring in 1996. She was a member of the Edon United Methodist Church, Edon, Ohio. Mary E. Snyder was born on November 24, 1928, in Defiance County, Ohio, the daughter of Alfred and Evagene (McFeeters) Snyder. She married Allan H. Snyder on January 25, 1947 in Ney, Ohio and he preceded her in death in June of 2000. Mrs. Snyder is survived by three sons, Rex A. (Jan) of Edon, Ohio, Randall D. (Kathy) of Bryan, Ohio and Robert L. (Kelly) Snyder also of Bryan, Ohio, one daughter, Sondra MacEwan of Fillmore, New York, eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one brother, Paul (Jeri) Snyder of Leesburg, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Beaulah Parent, Grace Sohn, Isabelle Lloyd and one granddaughter, Kendra MacEwan. Funeral services for Mary E. Snyder will be held on Monday, October 25, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. in Krill Funeral Home 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio with Pastor Eric Dailey, officiating. Burial will follow in Ney Cemetery, Ney, Ohio. Visitation for Mrs. Snyder will be held on Sunday, October 24, 2004 form 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, Ohio. Memorials in the name of Mary E. Snyder may be given to the Edon United Methodist Church or the Williams County Humane Society. Condolences may be sent to Snyderfamily@krillfuneralservice.com.
