Bertha Arno Buchs

Bertha Arno Buchs, age 91, a lifelong resident of Edgerton, Ohio, died Tuesday, December 14, 2004, at Parkview Nursing Center, Edgerton, Ohio, where she had been a resident the past three years. Mrs. Buchs worked at several area factories and the former Perry's Restaurant. She was also a homemaker and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Edgerton, Ohio. Bertha Arno Buchs was born December 21, 1912, in Williams County, Ohio, the daughter of Ambrose and Ethel (Divert) Lirot. She married Fred J. Buchs on November 28, 1933, in Edgerton, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on January 21, 1993. Mrs. Buchs is survived by five daughters, Rosella (Robert) Dunlap, of Edgerton, Barbara (Richard) Savage, of Hicksville, Ohio, Nancy (Alonzo) Fritch, of Edgerton, Donna (William) Siebenaler, of Edgerton, and Fay Grine, of Bryan, Ohio; one son, Richard (Nancy) Buchs, of Archbold, Ohio. She is also survived by twenty-three grandchildren, fifty great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchldren, one sister, Ruth Sechler, of Edgerton, and one brother, Richard Lirot, of Defiance, Ohio. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Patricia Buchs, two sons, Lewis D. and Dennis L. Buchs, two brothers, Harold and Raymond Lirot, two sisters, Emma McCord and Hazel Buchs, and one great-grandson, Todd Buchs II. Private Services for Bertha Arno Buchs will be held on Friday. December 17, 2004, in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, Ohio, with Father Thomas Oedy officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton, Ohio. There will be no visitation.
