Deloy J. Rohrs

Deloy J. “De-J” Rohrs, age 74, of Bryan, Ohio, died Wednesday, August 18, 2004 in his residence after a short illness. Mr. Rohrs was truck driver for Bard Manufacturing for 13 years, until his retirement in 1993. After his retirement from Bard’s, De-J began to work for Wal-Mart as a greeter for their store in Bryan, Ohio, He was a member of First Baptist Church, Bryan, and a member of the Bryan Park Board. He also was active in the Northeast Neighborhood Association in Bryan. Deloy J. Rohrs was born February 5, 1930, in Hicksville, Ohio, the son of John H. And Florence Hazel (Smith) Rohrs. He married Donna J. Payne on August 6, 1960 in Angola, Indiana and she survives. In addition to his wife, Mr. Rohrs is survived by one son, Greg Litt of Bryan, Ohio, one daughter, Diana Algire, two granddaughters, Kimberly and Margie, three brothers, Paul (Evadna) Rohrs of Edgerton, Ohio, Lester (Irene) Rohrs of Bryan, Ohio, Floyd (Helen “Dolene”) Rohrs of Antwerp, Ohio, four sisters, Helen L. Grupp of Bryan, Ohio, Kathleen Cather of Butler, Indiana, Florence (Jim) Fields of Florence, South Carolina, and Phyllis Humrickhouse of Elmhurst, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Thomas D. Baerlin and one sister, Dora Ruth Shaffer. Funeral services for Deloy J. Rohrs will be Friday, August 20, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. in the Krill Funeral Home 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan with Pastor John MacFarlane, officiating. Burial will follow in Shiffler Cemetery, near Bryan, Ohio. Visitation for Mr. Rohrs will be in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday, August 19, 2004. Memorials in the name of Deloy J. Rohrs may be given to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers Hospice Care or Cancer Assistance of Williams County, Inc.
