Clayton E. "Mick" Griffin

Clayton Earl "Mick" Griffin, age 86, of Bryan, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 6, 2026, at Parkview Bryan Hospital.  Clayton was born April 7, 1939, in Paris, Illinois to the late Kenneth and Evelyn (DePriest) Griffin. 

He married Theresa M. (Kerns) on December 31, 1985, in Hicksville, Ohio and she preceded him in death on April 13, 2023.  Clayton was employed as a tool grinder at Simpson Metaldyne in Edon, Ohio.  He was a member of Bethlehem Christian Union Church, Edon, Ohio and the American Legion, Auburn, Indiana.  Clayton enjoyed woodworking, roller coasters, vintage cars and above all, he loved his family and watching over all of them.

Clayton is survived by his son, Adam L. (Lorena) Smith, Edon, Ohio; his special daughter/grand-daughter, Katherine (Donovan) McClary, of Bryan, Ohio; daughter, Jerri (Keith) Evers, Butler, Indiana; stepdaughter, Carol Blum, of Bryan, Ohio, grandchildren, Christopher Church, Archbold, Ohio and John Cooper, Butler, Indiana, Lisa Blum, Antwerp, Ohio; 10 great grandchildren. His siblings, Jim Griffin, Houston, Texas, Juanita Kimball, Paris, Illinois, Jane (Dave) Malone, Montpelier, Ohio, Numerous nieces and nephews.

Clayton is preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents, Charles and Lelah Jane DePriest, Robert and Athane Griffin, his wife, and a great-granddaughter, Journey McClary and his brother-in-law, Alvin Kimball.

Visitation for Clayton will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio. Funeral service will be held 4:00 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home following the visitation.  Pastor Mike Slagle will officiate. Military funeral honors will be accorded by the Active-Duty Army Honor Detail and the combined Bryan VFW and American Legion Honor Guard.
