Harold L. Harrington

Harold L. Harrington, age 98, of rural Bryan, Ohio, died at 6:00 P.M. on Friday, December 13, 2019, in his home after a brief illness. Harold was a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Navy. He was lifelong farmer who began farming full time at the age of fourteen, was an avid hunter, enjoyed traveling, and was a member of West Bethesda Presbyterian Church. Harold L. Harrington was born on June 24, 1921, near Bryan, the son of Charles Donald and Thelma (Byers) Harrington. He married Irene F. Hellemn on June 3, 1944, in Bryan, Ohio, and she preceded him death on January 7, 2011. Survivors include one daughter, Pat Leininger, of Muldrow, Oklahoma; three sons, James (Cathy) Harrington, of Buckley, Washington, Dean (Barbara) Harrington and Russell (Sandra) Harrington, both of Bryan; eight grandchildren, Tami (Joe) Suggs, Todd (Tonya) Harrington, Terry Harrington, Free (Serena) Harrington, Lindsey Moffett, Kathryn (Kevin) Seitz, Murphy Harrington, and Marilla (Zach) Chmielewski; fifteen great-grandchildren, Amanda Reeves, Carter and Sadie Harrington, Kayla, Alex, Vanessa and Isaiah Harrington, Elijah, Azariah, Salome, and Keziah Harrington, Ethan and Alex Moffett, and Noah and Cherish Seitz; five great-great-grandchildren, Bretton, Taylee and Raelynn Reeves and Akham and Asuna Hinton; and one brother, Roger (Ginger) Harrington, of Bryan. He was also was preceded in death by three brothers, Herbert, Denver and Richard Harrington; one granddaughter, Cherish Harrington; one daughter-in-law, Carol Harrington; and one son-in-law, Larry Leininger. Visitation will be held in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 19, 2019. Services will be held on Friday, December 20, 2019, 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home with Reverend Mary Beth McCandless officiating. Interment will follow in Shiffler Cemetery, near Bryan, with grave side military rites conducted by Bryan American Legion Post #284 and the United States Navy Honor Guard. Memorials are requested to West Bethesda Presbyterian Church.
