Judith J. Sisco, age 81, of Defiance, Ohio, passed away, Friday, December 22, 2023 at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice near Defiance. Judy owned her own house cleaning company for many years when she lived in Harrison, Arkansas. She was a gifted wood carver and carved at Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri for many years. She had been a Girl Scout leader and 4-H leader, enjoyed reading, sewing, loved animals and would crochet lap blankets for veterans and hats for babies then donate them.
Judith was born on July 20, 1942, in Defiance, Ohio the daughter of Carl and Nellie (Baden) Johnson. She was a graduate of Defiance High School. Judy married James E. Sisco on September 12, 1959 in Defiance and he survives.
Judy is also survived by her daughters, Cindy Rittenhouse and her husband John Roehrig, of Defiance and Tina (Ron) Gunderman, of Sherwood; son, Mark (Sheila) Sisco, of Harrison, Arkansas; 8 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; sisters, Pat (Jim) Williams and Pam Gerig, both of Fort Wayne and Jean (Phil) Hoag and sister-in-law, Jan Sisco, both of Defiance. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Charles Sisco, Jr.
Honoring Judy’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service held at this time. Krill Funeral Service, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan has been entrusted with her arrangements. She will be laid to rest at Riverview Memory Gardens at a later date.
Memorials are requested to Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice Center.
