Kathleen A. Byers

Kathleen Alice Byers, age 71, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2026, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, IN. Kathleen worked in several area factories and retired from Strydel. She was a faithful member of Eastland Baptist Church. Kathleen enjoyed gardening, watching old Westerns, listening to Christian music and painting the fingernails of her fellow residents at Fountain Park. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Kathleen was born September 13, 1954, in Paulding, OH, the daughter of the late Mason and Marjorie (Bumpus) Rhoden. She is survived by her son, Steven (Crystal) Rhoden, of Montpelier; daughters, Barbara (Tony) Kuhn, of Bryan and Jennifer (David) Lavey, of Portsmouth, OH; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brothers, Roger (Tomara) Rhoden, of Edgerton and Greg Rhoden, of Auburn, IN and her sister, Pat (Doug) Ayers, of St. Joe, IN.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM- 12:00 PM on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at Eastland Baptist Church. A celebration of Kathleen’s life beginning at 12:00 PM with Pastor Jeff Sheldon officiating. Krill Funeral Service, 860 West Mulberry Street has been entrusted with her arrangements.
