Kermit “Lee” Norrick, age 80, of Edon, Ohio, passed away at 7:20 P.M. on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, after an extended illness. Mr. Norrick was a 1961 graduate of Edgerton High School and was employed as a truck driver. He had last worked for P J & T Trucking in West Unity, Ohio. He was a member of Bryan Eagles Aerie #2233 and enjoyed shooting pool, camping, and watching football and NASCAR.
Kermit “Lee” Norrick was born on May 28, 1943, in Farmer, Ohio, the son of Kenneth E. and Olive (Smith) Norrick. He married Jane A. (Chaney) Bostic on November 24, 1984, in Farmer, Ohio, and she survives.
Surviving in addition his wife are three daughters, Tammy Richardson, of Toledo, Ohio, Tina Norrick, of Bon Aqua, Tennessee, and Michelle (Chris) Balser, of Hicksville, Ohio; three stepchildren, Dawn (Kevin) Shoemaker, in Indiana, Shawn (Angie) Bostic, of Edgerton, Ohio, and Andy (Linda) Bostic, of Defiance, Ohio; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; five sisters, Shirley (Don) Ridenhour, of Coldwater, Michigan, Charlotte Rettig, of Holgate, Ohio, Cassandra (Andy) Hasty, of Hawkins, Texas, Juanita Venderley, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Dawn (Paul) Crawford, of Oakdale, Minnesota; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Ann Norrick and Rhonda Vaccarro; and a brother, Kenneth “Sonny” Norrick, Jr.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 23, 2023, from 2:00-4:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 114 East Hull Street, Edgerton. Services will follow at 4:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, Ryan Chaney and Pastor Byron Adams officiating. Military honors will take place in the funeral home following the service.
Memorials are requested to a charity of the donor’s choice.
