Lorna Jean Warner

Lorna Jean Warner, age 85, originally from Edgerton, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home in Naples, Florida, at 5:50 P.M. on Tuesday, February, 28, 2023, after a brief illness, surrounded by her three children. She was a member of the Edgerton United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, Pomona and Sodom Grange, and the Ohio State Grange and was an active member of the Edgerton Lions Club, later the Pioneer Ohio Lions Club, and the Latchkey League in Naples. Lorna taught Sunday and Bible school at the Edgerton United Methodists Church and was a leader of the Clever Clovers 4-H Club for over a decade. She volunteered at the Edgerton Free Store and was active with the Edgerton Music Boosters. Homemaking and gardening were great joys in her life. Lorna Jean Warner was born on September 30, 1937, in DeKalb County, Indiana, near Butler. She was the daughter of Amos and Pluma (Winebar) Ordway. She married Morris D. Warner on June 4, 1960, in Edgerton and he preceded her in death on December 5, 2016. Survivors include two daughters, Sandy (Kent) Castor of Bryan, Ohio, and Paula (Kerry) Whetro, of Mascotte, Florida; one son, Ryan Warner, of Naples, Florida; four grandchildren, Lindsay (Robert) Causey, Bryan (Veronica) Whetro, Brittany (Jason) Boeke, and Lora Whetro; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Eugene (Ruth) Ordway, of Edgerton; and one sister, Nancy Fry, of Clermont, Florida. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Kenneth and Allen Ordway; three sisters, Donna Wrinkle, Joyce Mason, and JoAnn Ordway; and an infant great-grandson, Mack Boeke. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 17, 2023, from 3:00-7:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 114 East Hull Street, Edgerton. Services will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. in the Krill Funeral Home as well with Reverend Susan Kronbach and Karlyn McPike officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton. Memorials are requested to the Edgerton United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or to Avow Hospice, Naples, Florida.
