Patricia M. Smith

Patricia Mary Smith, age 85, of Edon, Ohio, passed away on Sunday morning, November 1, 2026, at Evergreen Health Care in Montpelier, OH. Patricia was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her friends at the Montpelier Senior Center, flower gardening and knitting.

Patricia was born on December 22, 1940, in Munising, MI, the daughter of Phillip and Charlotte (Drake) Lupien, Sr. She married Donald Lee Smith on October 11, 1958, in Columbia, OH, and he survives.

In addition to her husband, Patricia is survived by her daughters, Debra (David) Lupien-Colon, of Stratford, PA and Laurie (Richard) Shannon, of Blaine, MN; sons, John A. Smith, of Edon and Michael (Evelyn) Smith, of Angola, IN; 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and siblings, Laurie Barber, of Laingsburg, MI, Sue Arnot, of Bad Axe, MI, Jerry Lupien, of DeWitt, MI, Linda Watts and Barbara Spearhecker, both of Owasso, MI and Carolyn Cook, of Laingsburg, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Phillip (Viola) Lupien, Jr, Roger Lupien and Robert Lupien and sister, Betty Brandt.

A time to gather and celebrate Patricia’s life will be held from 4:00-6:00 PM on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at Krill Funeral Home, 204 West Indiana Street, Edon. Krill Funeral Home is honored to serve the Smith family.
