Sandra Kay Crumbley

July 30, 1956 — February 4, 2026

Edgerton, Ohio

Sandra Kay Crumbley, 69, of Edgerton, OH, passed away at her home on February 4, 2026.

Born in Ennis, Texas, on July 30, 1956, nothing was more important to Sandi than her faith and her family. She was a devout Christian who put her trust in God in all things and never wavered in her faith or in her prayers. She loved her savior Jesus with all her heart and shared that love with her family. Her faith emphasized God’s love and compassion for all His creation, and she tried every day to reflect that love in her own life.

Sandi passed on to her three children her compassion and her intellectual curiosity as well as her love of books, movies and games. As a working single mother she read to her children every night, even when she was so exhausted that she read herself to sleep. She never lost her playful spirit or her silly sense of humor and delighted in any opportunity to play games with the people she loved.

Sandi adored animals of all kinds. She loved to fill her home with birds and dogs and cats, and dreamt of traveling the world just to see all the animals she had loved from afar. She cared for many animals throughout her life, but her most faithful companion was a feisty Havanese dog named Rory, who was by her side in her final moments.

Sandi was preceded in death by her parents, Geraldine and Eugene Brown; her brothers, Royce and Irvin Brown; and her sisters Jeanne Estey and Elaine Montgomery.

Sandi is survived by her sons Daniel Davis and George Lerner, her daughter Shea Crumbley, and her dog Rory; her last wishes were for the health of her sister Patricia Brown Commons. She will be missed by many but most especially her nieces Beth Hardwick and Samantha Estey and her great-niece Austyn Mariah Snelus whom she loved so dearly.
