Theodore "Ted" Bauer

 Theodore "Ted" William Bauer, age 62, of Defiance, Ohio, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2026, at Toledo Hospital, Toledo, Ohio.  Ted was born on February 26, 1964, the son of the late James E. and Joan F. (Hertel) Bauer. Ted was a graduate of Defiance High School and then earned an Associate of Arts in Electrical Engineering.  Ted was an accomplished drummer and musician and was also employed as an electrician and arcade owner.  He was an avid fisherman and a peaceful, loving, caring man to humans and all animals.  Above all, he loved his family.

Ted is survived by his son, Michael Bauer, and his girlfriend, Kierra Hernandez, of Pulaski, Ohio; his former wife, Tammy Spencer, of Paulding, Ohio; his stepson, Zach Witkouski, of Payne, Ohio; two step-grandchildren; his brother, James (Kathy) Bauer, of Defiance, Ohio; his sisters, Becky (Ron) Carpenter of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Julie (Michael) Ferenci,  of  Kihei, Hawaii, and several nieces and nephews. 

 He was preceded in death by his parents.

Honoring Ted's and his family's wishes there will be no public services.  Inurnment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Defiance, Ohio in the future.
